Well it’s so many years ago now.
But I have many many things I remember.
Mind you not all good memories but many of them are.
Tonight I am remembering the great music we had back then.
I was born in 1974 so as I grew up I grew with great music.
My parents loved music so it was always on and they were awesome tunes that they listened to!
There were singers/bands like:
- 1927
- Johnny Cash
- Cyndi Lauper
- John Denver
- Men At Work
- Kenny Rogers
- Dolly Parton
And that’s just a couple!!
The streets were safe.
We’d play from morning to tea time, often with the neighbourhood kids.
In the middle of the street would be football or cricket.
Loud music and parties were nothing to be worried about as everyone was friends back then.
And everyone joined in and looked out for each other.
But tonight it’s the change in music I have been looking at the most.
The majority of the music was audible and not head banging stuff that one couldn’t understand.
I’m pretty lucky that my childhood was ok….
I had good parents and they did the right things for my brother and I back then…
