So yeah… things are a bit up and down and twisty and turning here of late.
I have felt for a little while that maybe I should go back to the GP and see about going back on my anxiety meds…
So I made the time and went and saw her and yep am back on a very low dose but do also have an appointment to see my “shrink” too as she is the one who originally started me on the meds.
Mind you this appointment with the GP came after the sad weekend and devastating time of losing, my Uncle..
A very short 4 weeks after his cancer diagnosis my wonderful Uncle Ray passed away.
I got to see him before he left this Earth, but it wasn’t a nice time and it really did open my eyes on how the last days of one’s life can be.
I admired the way my two cousins – his daughters – went through those dreadful days.
My Uncle was the second of four children with my Mum being the eldest.
Uncle Ray was just not her brother but also her best friend… they spent a lot of time together and were always there for each other.
Uncle R often had lunch with us on family lunch days, joined us for special occasions and normally had lunch with my Mum & Step-Dad most Saturdays.
So it was with sadness – but relief too as he would have no more pain – that on Monday July 16th my Uncle finally passed away surrounded by his daughters and his siblings.
My Uncle was one month of being 61 years old.
He is now re-united with his Mum & Dad and his grandson, Boyd and also my son Samuel.
Rest In Peace Uncle Ray
You will be missed by those that knew and loved you.
